"Old Guy Scott" prefers correctly repaired original fenders to the reproductions out there. When metal in the lower portion is to be replaced, this is the perfect time to braze in, and double nut the fenders attaching point. The factory bolt and blind mounting nut usually fail here. Now you can use a grade eight bolt and tighten securely. Photos show "Old Guy Scott" uses lead in all repair work. Be sure to metal prep. at least twice before spraying polyester prime and fill.
