Pictures #221 thru #227 In this update "Old Guy Scott" shows how to graft new metal into the door. Upon close examination the door had a weak area needing replacement. "Old Guy Scott" marks the area needing removal and uses this piece as a template to cut the new piece accurately. "Old Guy Scott" then uses a mig welder to butt weld the new metal in place. Several heat shrinks were necessary to contour and tighten the metal. Some minor lead work was needed to complete the job. Next you will see the "Old Guy Scott" block sanding the guide coat off the polyester primer. The last photo shows both doors perfectly completed, "Old Guy Scott" will guide coat and block a final time before the paint work begins.
